The simplest way to reach Vrindavan and Mathura is by road via the Yamuna Expressway. Approximate distances and private-car drive times:

The easiest way to reach Vrindavan from Delhi is by road on the Yamuna Expressway — about 150 km and 3–3.5 hours by private car. You can also take a train to Mathura Junction (≈2 hours) and a cab onward to Vrindavan (12 km).
The nearest airport is Agra (AGR), about 54 km away, but Delhi airport (DEL, ≈150 km) has many more flights. The new Noida International Airport at Jewar will become the closest option. From any airport, a private cab reaches Vrindavan and Mathura easily.
Mathura Junction (MTJ), about 12 km from Vrindavan, is the main railway station and is very well connected. Vrindavan’s own station (BVD) is small; most travellers use Mathura Junction to reach Vrindavan.
Mathura and Vrindavan are just 12 km apart — about a 25-minute drive. Most Mathura Vrindavan tours base in one town and cover both easily.
