ISKCON Temple, Vrindavan

The Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir — better known as ISKCON Vrindavan — is one of the most serene and beautiful temples in all of Braj. Founded by Srila Prabhupada, its marble courtyards, kirtan and discipline draw devotees from every corner of the world.

About

Krishna Balaram Mandir,
the ISKCON Vrindavan temple

ISKCON Temple Vrindavan was inaugurated in 1975 on Raman Reti, the sandy land where Krishna and Balaram played as boys. The temple’s gleaming white marble, immaculate gardens and continuous kirtan make it the calmest darshan in Vrindavan — a welcome contrast to the crowded old-town lanes.

Within the complex lies the Samadhi Mandir of Srila Prabhupada, founder of ISKCON, and the Pushpa Samadhi. The ISKCON Vrindavan temple is also famous for its Govinda’s restaurant and its grand Janmashtami and Holi celebrations.
